November 13 Poem

Give me just one of your kisses,

and I’ll plant it carefully in the yard,

then water it so it will grow into

a bouquet of lovely kisses.

Then I’ll pluck them up one

at a time and feel their

velvety softness on my lips.

And when they droop and dry,

I’ll gather their petals in a jar

and place them beside my bed

to remind me of that first kiss

long ago.
