November 6 Poem

All is not as it seems—

all smooth and composed and neat.

What lies behind those pale blue skies

is dark and gritty

and a strange animal

struggles in the gloom

trying to escape the storm

that rages, always raging,

steel skies with just a fringe

of silver, far out on the horizon.
