Mark Strand

You all should read some of the poetry of Mark Strand, a fine poet. He passed away last week. He did a wonderful reading at BYU a few years ago. Let’s read some of his poetry for our meeting on Dec. 11th. Here are a few links for you:

    I loved the Last Waltz piece. Bits about poets should definitely be written by fine writers, like that one. Matt, reading about Strand’s frequent reference to death, I can see why you like him so much. I loved the 2002 poem. Maybe that’s the only way to look forward to death – with dry good humor.
